I bet most of us as streamyx users are unhappy with the nation-monopoly broadband ISP. but yet, there’s nothing much we do besides cursing them, calling their helpline to complains, and then, sit back on in front of the PC and continue using their terrible service.

“This is Malaysia mah, what to do?” I heard you mumbling. that’s right, in malaysia, public’s interest is always the last to be concerned. MP can do whatever they want, say whatever they like, and yet, bare no responsible at all on their no brainer’s act. in the same time, small potato like us got surfered, got bullied, and got tortured (financially) by local owned (who else? the MPs!) cooperation.

This is especially true when it comes to streamyx. streamyx never give us the connection speed (1.0 - 1.5Mbp/s) they promised us, streamyx helpline sucks and cant solve our technical problems, adn althought the officials deny, streamyx did throttle our P2P sharings WITHOUT informing users (us!). and yet, we bump into streamyx radio ads every morning when we drive to work, we see streamyx sign board claiming they offer fastest broadband Internet connection… we see fake promises of streamyx everywhere and NOBODY take actions. if a restaurant owner that raised Milo price for 10 cents got a RM20,000 fine, how much should we fine on streamyx by giving fake information and extremely overcharged us on their services?

I cant even login and operate smoothly in PayPal or eBay; i cant watch a complete YouTube movie without pausing it and wait long enough for the movie to buffer; i cant view short clip on metacafe at all; i cant do BT downloads; i cant work smoothly on my affiliate account hosted in United States… and at the time i wrote this i run a broadband test on some servers outside Malaysia and below are the results (you can try the same at here and here):

Connection to server in Dallas return DL/UL speed at 112/80kbps.

Connection to server in LA return DL/UL speed at 43/68 kbps - that’s even lower than dialup, moron!

Connection to Maidenhead in UK was even stunning… 36/77 kbps of DL/UL speed! that’s not even 1% of what streamyx promised us when we signup for the deal!

…and yet, i am paying rm88 every month to streamyx.

If you hate streamyx as much as i do, if you are as angry as i am now with streamyx, there are something more to do besides telling me ‘what to do, this is malaysia?’. i URGE you to cut the crap, and join us at www.streamyxsucks.com!
